What to do when Perplexity isn't working
- If the answer above says it is up, reload with Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) to skip your browser cache.
- Log out and back in, or open Perplexity in a private window. Expired sessions cause most "it's broken for me" moments.
- Turn off your VPN or ad blocker for a minute. Some block the service's login or API calls.
- Try your phone on mobile data. If it works there, the problem is your Wi-Fi or company network.
- If it says down, wait. Outages at Perplexity usually last minutes to a couple of hours. This page updates itself every minute.
